Homelife

The same eye as in the street, turned towards the places I live in.

Statement

Homelife gathers images taken in the places we live in — sometimes for only a few days, sometimes longer: apartments, hotel rooms, family houses.

I find the same gesture here as in the street: watching what presents itself without provoking it, and photographing whatever, in the midst of ordinary life, stops my eye. A detail, a light or a presence is sometimes enough to make what was already there appear differently, and to make me want to return to it.

These photographs give a place to moments so familiar they might go unnoticed. Beauty perhaps lies in just that: becoming aware of a moment as it passes.
